2007-01-21 - Quietness and random yammering
OMG... the house is quiet! Hehe... ;-) That never happens. No kids... no TV... no WoW. I don't quite know what do do with myself!
Right after I deleted the old site and uploaded these temporary pages my system drive bit the dust. I'd just got done installing SP2, too, the bastage! And I'd just purchased the Burning Crusade. I'd played about an hour and a half and then kablooey! Good grief... what luck! Waited a whole 2+ years for the expansion and then my drive had to go and crash and leave me compy-less for a few days. All of my Mallie buds got a good chunk ahead of me too. oh well. I guess I'll live. Honestly, though. I did get to play for a few hours this weekend and it's very cool, but just doesn't hold my interest like the original game did when it was released. I think I am just too tired out to really enjoy it lately. My attention is fragmented in a million different ways, it seems like... work stuff here, class stuff there, kid stuff here, car stuff there, house disaster pit stuff here, computer explosion stuff there, gamings and gatherings here, bill juggling there... not to mention the constant on-edgedness of knowing I've forgotten as assload of things I should be remembering. eeps!
So this is kinda a sucktastic temp way to blog... I'm going to check out... er... oh yeah, WordPress. I'm so out of touch lately. ;-) Seems pretty skinnable at first glance. Actually, in that couple of seconds I've already installed it and am poking around. I still have to create a design that I like for this entire site, then see if I can skin the blog to look like it belongs here.
Current plans for the week... teaching on Weds. Taking the kiddo to my aunt's on Tues. Finishing up a couple web dev projects at work and pestering people about a few more. Leveling my bElf and one of my level 60's... prolly my hunter. Uploading some new kiddo photos for mom and dad to see. Maybe something fun this weekend for my birthday, not sure. Would love to get the kiddo's curtains finished and hung up, but doubt I'll get to it. More picking about in the yard if the weather allows. Maybe Weds, as that'd be my half day working from home. Oh crap. That means I have to find Visual Web Dev again and get it installed... *sigh*
ok, going to go see how much I can skin this WordPress thingo before I crash or I find another fire to put out. ;-)
