2007-05-31 - That chocolate flavored coffee is da good ;-)

I spun off two webs today, taught a class, drove 50 miles, and hung out with my little kid for a while. And it's 1 am and I'm still going. Whew! That must have been some good coffee this morning. Hehe... well I guess I figured that if I could spin off a whole web for my class from scratch, I could spin of at least a temp design for madlantern arts, ffs. My poor website has been so neglected with all the cripes that have gone on in the past few years. It's like a tornado came through and tossed everything about real good. I never meant for this site to get so far behind. However, that just means its time for something entirely different. I think I feel like this site is more mine now than it ever was, since I really don't have to worry about attracting clients, scouring stats and logs, tweaking wording, etc. I can worry about that at work.

Things are looking up. I got to play WoW a little bit tonight... and a little bit last night, too! It had been several weeks since I did more than log in to see if anyone I knew was on. A number of folks have moved to playing LotR Online, but I haven't found the courage to take on another mmo. I know I'd just have the same time issues with any game and if for some reason I found the time to game, I know something else in my life would be bearing the burden. It's just not worth it for me at this point. There, you see... I keep talking myself out of it. It's probably a really good thing. Maybe in a decade or so I'll have that druid flight form. ;-)

I'm ramping up to teach this intense class over the summer... it's 4 days of non-stop Dreamweaver action, so we'll see how that goes. I'm still trying to decide what to do in the fall. The 10-week class is killing me for the gas it takes to roll up the freeway to Eugene to teach it. Not to mention the time I spend deving it and commuting to and fro. I love to teach, but it is such a burden and I'd love the extra time to hang out with my ittybit and family/friend type folk. I think the condensed class is the way to go, otherwise I think I'm going to pass on the teaching for a while.

Well, sad as it is, time to hit the hay. *snores off into the other room*
