2007-08-14 – So long WoW

After about three months of not having any time whatsoever to play WoW, I finally decided not to renew my account. Surprisingly, (or maybe not) I haven’t missed it a single time. In fact, it’s kind of relieving to know I’m not paying for something that I never use. I certainly don’t miss feeling like I should find some time to log in and play for a while. ;-)

My summer class didn’t have enough people registered to take off. I think I was one person short. I’m not going to teach again until Winter term. I think we’ll be looking for more Dreamweaver teachers, as I’m only going to be able to squeeze out enough spare energy to teach one class. If you know anyone in the Lane county area that would like to teach Dreamweaver (or any aspect of web design, for that matter) I’d love to hear from them. In fact, I’m also still looking for web designers of all techniques and skill levels to shuffle off work to.

I feel really stressed out lately with SO MANY THINGS TO DO! I can’t seem to get a handle on all of the things I need to get done and all of the things I want to get done. I don’t seem to get to work on many of them at all. Since the things I need to do can go to kiss off right now, here are some of the things I really want to do:

  • Work on that kids book (I have several stories just waiting for me… yes, Glee, including our friend the panda!)

  • Figure out how to shuffle some web jobs off to other designers (for some reason that’s easier said than done… reminds me of herding cats. Or trying to get a band together.)

  • Speaking of music, I’d like to do more of that, too. Getting a radio (that works) for my car would be a good start. After that, getting back into actually composing my own tunes would be good too. Being tuneless creates an incredible void in my life.

  • Sew. Starting with Bryce’s curtains for window #2. After that there are 11 other windows in our house that need redecorating. And several small tables that would happily accept coverings.

  • Work on this website. Finish the clipart CD Make more vector clipart.

  • Now we’re back to books. I’d like to put together a book of web design tricks. I think I know a few prize-winners. ;-)

  • Take some database, PHP, flash or other scripting classes. I can fudge my way through a lot of stuff, but classes help SO much. I’ll take something this fall, but no clue what yet.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg..! Well, have to go get the kiddo and something to feed her. Toodlies!
